A view from up high.

Highest house in the region.
Located high atop a hill northeast of Wausau, this household -- concerned about the energy consumption of their new indoor pool -- wanted to reduce their footprint.
The wind system complemented a solar thermal system used for heating the new pool. After a year of zoning negotiations required to locate the turbine in this upscale sub-division, they were allowed to move forward.
European elegance.
Choosing a Scottish-made 15 kW Proven was like selecting a premium European automobile. The product is top in its class, and not the cheapest.
With its tailless, down-wind design the Proven has an aesthetic design unlike American units. Its perfect for the high visibility location atop a hill.
With an estimated 13 mph wind speed at hub height, the turbine is expected to produce 21,000 kWh per year.

Quality. To the last detail.
While simple in concept, the power center for this turbine was daunting to install.
With our master craftsmen, we created a clean wall of electronics for the three
SMA inverters and the Proven wind controller.
Added to the mix was an APRS World wind data monitoring system that captures wind speed and system output.
