At last the results are in, and they confirm what we already knew: Focus on Energy is cost effective. The findings show statewide benefits outweighed costs 2.3 to 1. Media coverage of the audit was very positive and legislators on both sides of the aisle are saying positive things about the program.

Now that the program’s benefits have been confirmed, it is time to restore some of the $320 million cut from Focus on Energy. Clean Wisconsin will be working over the next month to educate legislators about the program’s job creation potential.

You can also help by writing letters to the editor that highlight what Focus on Energy has done for your business as well as call your legislator to work to restore some of the lost funding!

We are very excited to offer this cutting-edge solar energy solution that combines SunPower’s high efficiency modules with an optimized, factory-integrated microinverter. The modules come backed by an industry-leading 25-year warranty!

Are you someone who thinks, “I’d get a solar system in a heartbeat if my home wasn’t surrounded by big, beautiful trees?” Are you reluctant to “go solar” because your roof isn’t perfectly oriented in a southwesterly direction? Think again.

SunPower AC Solar Panels are easy to install around obstructions, operating independently of any shading that may affect the array. They improve your energy harvest, with power optimization at the panel level and enable detailed energy monitoring of each module.

For more information, visit SunPower online. We are proud to partner with SunPower as a Premier Dealer.

As 2011 winds down, we want to offer a brief update. At the federal level, the 30% tax credit for personal and business is still in effect for 2012. The MACRS depreciation in 2012 is still in affect as well for business's with an added 1st year 50% bonus depreciation.

As 2011 winds down, we want to offer a brief update. At the federal level, the 30% tax credit for personal and business is still in effect for 2012. The MACRS depreciation in 2012 is still in affect as well for business’s with an added 1st year 50% bonus depreciation.

In Minnesota, the news is not so favorable. Xcel Energy 2011 Solar Rewards funds were fully allocated by Q3. It is uncertain if any 2012 funds will still available with the recent flurry of applications. If you have any interest in solar for 2012, getting an application in NOW is suggested.

In Wisconsin, the news is slightly more favorable. The Focus on Energy program is here to stay. The incentives levels for both residential and commercial programs are being restructured, however, and we will not know the new details until late this year.

Call Energy Concepts today to find out the latest on available incentives for your project!

SunPower has begun designing a 13.78MW solar power plant at the navy base in China Lake, California with the intention of breaking ground next month and to be in operation at the end of next year. The project will feature SunPower Oasis Power Plants.

Each power block integrates the SunPower T0 Tracker with the maximum efficiency SunPower E19 / 425 solar panel, pre-manufactured system cabling and other advanced features. The tracker system was recently used in Arizona’s largest solar project.

It is hoped to generate more than 30% of annual energy load, helping to reduce costs by an estimated US$13 million over the next 20 years. The Navy is buying electricity under a power purchase agreement (PPA) and therefore no initial capital investment will be required.

The fact that SunPower continues to get used for utility scale systems like this is a big deal. SunPower panels are the most widely employed utility scale module in the world!
