This retired customer had a strong motivation to power his all-electric home and control his future utility costs by generating his own energy on site.

When told “no” to his wind system permit application, we assisted in getting an ordinance passed that made possible this and future wind installations in the village.

The client chose a Minnesota-made 20 kW Jacobs turbine on a 120’ free-standing lattice tower -- requiring no unsightly guy-wires.

We among the first installers to identify this requirement -- that adds both safety and cost.

We had to reconfigure the main electrical service as a result of changes made to the National Electric Code.
